Speedo Drive Pinion Adaptor is what this is and don't ask me where it goes exactly but in the tranny section. Not only found on your tranny but in the Mk3 parts book, last item on page B7, item 34. Yes, thus my parts numbering system, oh so clever!  (34 in the pic)
