This rubber seal goes between the windscreen frame and attaches to the forward front of the top bow of the convertible top. This top bow is also called a header rail. Your entire top frame is attached to this hunk of metal and basically gets latched to the windscreen frame area not the trim. The other end of your top frame bolts down onto the car body. Dig enough and you'll find it all!
