This coil is for Interceptors that are externally ballasted.  This means you have a ballast resistor residing somewhere in the engine bay.  383 cars had a 2 prong-er and later 440 cars had a 4 prong-er.  Now, some beastmasters may have done away with the ballast resister for some reason and therefore you would want an coil that is internal ballasted. 

Please note, the picture is of a Bosch coil, but these are not currently available.  We now sell an upscale U.S. version (these are less expensive, too!)
