Now somewhere in December or so of 1974 began the change of fuel caps from the star-shaped one to the cad plated twin ear caps.  The little ears help twist the cap off. I haven't spent a lot of time investigating why the change but the change did happen. 1974 brought about a lot of change for Jensen and you know the rest of the story.
