All castle nuts are not equal. Isn't that the same for just about everything now a days? These are the correct height, threads, size and cad plated.  We have taken plenty off the cars where spacers were used to increase the height. It's all about where the hole is in proximity to the mounted nut. Expensive? Yes, but the quality is good enough for aircraft 'cause it is.
