This oil filler cap fits the stamped steel valve covers as used on the Mk1s and those 76 Coupe's that were not fitted with the cast aluminum 'JENSEN' valve covers. However, (you just knew there would be a however!) on some Mk2s and early Mk3s even up to '72, there seems to be a cast valve cover that requires this cap. This cap has the two pointy ears on it. The other style valve cover used A7/62/A which originally was a nice totally round, aluminum cap with 'oil' stamped in it. With used parts traveling around the world & being swapped in and out, it becomes difficult to decide... more on this later...
