This is the vehicle manufacturer identification number and date tag.  This is how we know your Interceptor is really who it says it is!  On early cars it can be found on the driver's side 'B" pillar edge above the boot latch.  On later cars such as convertibles, & Coupe's it is on the edge of the driver's door that faces the above mentioned 'B' piller edge.  Can't remember on the Mk2 and definitely not for the Mk1. For sure not for the Mk1, Mk1's have a unique tagging system all their own! WE STAMP FOR YOU! Please supply your details.
